Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. is the most titled and successful club in Israeli football. Having won the AFC Champions League twice, Maccabi Tel-Aviv F.C. is the most recognized football club outside Israel. It's derby with city rivals Hapoel Tel Aviv is considered one of the most heated rivalries in Israeli sports. Maccabi was the second Israeli club to reach the coveted group stage of the UEFA Champions League, and the only team to have never relegated in history. In the season of 2004 to 2005 the club participated for the first time in the Uefa champions league - group stage.

The team is familiar in its yellow-blue uniform and plays its home games at Bloomfield stadium in Jaffa and enjoys the support of hundreds of thousands fans in Israel and abroad.
