Roy Revivo celebrated his return to Maccabi’s starting line-up with a goal and an assist which earned him the BOSS man of the match award. Shortly after, The 21-year-old full-back spoke to the media at the end of the match and said: “I am young, hungry, working hard and will always aim to reach the highest levels. I missed scoring goals a lot as it hadn’t happened in a while now”.
Revivo, who made his first league appearance this season and completed the 90 minutes, spoke about the competition for places in the squad: “There are plenty of good players in the team and a lot of rotation as we have loads of matches this season. But I am working hard and we will see.”
On the prospect of featuring in the right back position as well, Revivo said: “I can at right back but at the end of the day these are decisions of the coach. I personally think that Idan Nachmias has been doing an exceptional job at right-back. I don’t mind playing left or right and I said it in the past – I like the challenge and like to be challenged”.
On the match which saw Hapoel Jerusalem manage to equalize despite their numerical disadvantage, Revivo said: “Because they were down to 10 men, and dropped back, we wanted to score. But on the other hand the tempo of the game also dropped and dragged us down as well. We enjoyed most of the possession during the game so I tried to do my work both in defense and attack.”
On Maccabi’s squad this season, Revivo summed up: “We have an excellent squad of players and there will be rotations as we are set to play so many matches and prepared for that. Facing teams like Ajax is extremely challenging and we thrive on that. We would like to win as many matches in Europe but at the same time domestically – win the league and as many titles as possible”
Porat-Ayash signs 2-year-deal at Maccabi
Anis Porat Ayash will join Maccabi at a later date, after an agreement was reached with Bnei Sakhnin for the transfer of the winger who signed a two-year-deal with an option to extend by a further two seasons.
The 19-year-old winger who scored 2 goals in 7 international appearances for Israel’s U19 national side, will continue playing at Bnei Sakhnin during the 2024/25 campaign.
Porat-Ayash, grew up at Bnei Sakhnin’s Youth Academy and was promoted to the senior side during last season, made 20 appearances in all competitions and registered 7 more in this campaign.

Dan Biton will leave Maccabi Tel Aviv and join Hapoel Be’ersheva after an agreement was reached between the two clubs on the transfer of the 29-year-old midfielder.
Biton, who joined the club in the summer of 2020 on loan from Bulgarian side Ludogorets, helped Maccabi in his first season win the State Cup, Toto Cup, Super Cup and reach the Europa League knockout phase.
After completing his transfer to Maccabi the following summer, Biton continued for four more seasons in Yellow Blue scoring a total of 24 goals in 144 appearances in all competitions.
Last season (2023/24) Biton added 3 more titles to his trophy cabinet: The League Championship, the Toto Cup and the Super Cup as well as reaching the Conference League Round of 16.

Yonatan will leave Maccabi Tel Aviv and join Australian side Melbourne City.
The 28-year-old forward who grew up at Maccabi’s Youth Academy, scored for the senior side 41 goals in 157 appearances in all competitions.
In five seasons at Maccabi, Cohen won 10 titles: 3 League Championships (18/19, 19/20, 23/24), 1 State Cup (20/21), 3 Toto Cups (19/20, 20/21, 23/24) and 3 Super Cups (19/20, 20/21 and 23/24).
In the various European competitions, Cohen scored 5 goals in 26 international appearances.
