Maccabi Tel Aviv have been drawn against Hapoel Haifa in the Toto (League) Cup quarter finals. The Second leg will be played at Bloomfield Stadium

The draw for the Toto Cup quarter final games was held at the Israeli Football Association offices this afternoon, setting Maccabi Tel Aviv against Hapoel Haifa.  The semi-finalist will be determined at the end of two legs, home and away, with Maccabi Tel Aviv playing at Haifa's Kiryat Eliezer Stadium on either the 27th or the 28th of November and hosting the second leg on either the 11th or 12th of December.  Maccabi finished their qualifying group in first place, taking seven points from three games. In the quarter finals they will play a team they beat 1-3 in the league less than one month ago.

Before the draw took place, the team held their morning practice at Kiryat Shalom training ground, in the absence of players on international duty. Midfielders Gal Alberman and Mahran Radi, defenders Eytan Tibi and Yoav Ziv and striker Eliran Atar were called up to Israel's senior national team in advance of the two upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Luxemburg. Striker Munas Dabbur and midfielder Dor Micha are with the Under-21 national team, preparing for a friendly against Belgium scheduled to take place this Sunday. In addition, MTA goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is busy with national duties and is off to prepare for an important qualifying match for the finals of the African Cup of Nations, playing for his home side Nigeria against Liberia.  The rest of the Maccabi squad participated in a team training that included several physical fitness tests conducted by the professional staff, followed by an intra-squad game.
