After extensive medical checks conducted today, it appears the injury to Maccabi striker Munas Dabbur is not as severe as might have been feared

This morning Maccabi Tel Aviv's young striker Munas Dabbur underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the knee injury he suffered after being tackled by Hapoel Tel Aviv's Dutch defender Jurgen Colin in the first half of the Tel Aviv derby. Much to the players' and the club's relief, the results confirmed initial assessments that he would not require any surgery.

Despite Dabbur's attempts to carry on playing in Maccabi's ultimate 1-0 derby victory two days ago, the injury forced him to make way for midfielder Mahran Radi two minutes before the end of the first half. He will also be absent from the squad that will face Hapoel Acre at home in Maccabi Tel Aviv's next match on Saturday at 7.15pm. Ticket sales for that match are now in full swing, with the last seats still available for gates 13, 2, 8 and 7. Due to the large demand for tickets, gate 4 will also be opened for the Maccabi faithful.
