Today, half way between the first and second legs against Maribor, the MTA squad held training at Kiryat Shalom

Three days after their first leg Champions League 3rd round qualifier against Slovenian champions NK Maribor, the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad continued their preparations ahead of the second leg in Larnaca, Cyprus, on Tuesday night at 9pm. The aggregate winner of the two matches will advance to the Champions League play-off round, while the loser will enter the parallel round of the Europa League. At the end of the first leg, MTA captain Sheran Yeini called upon Maccabi fans to turn out in numbers to support the team in Cyprus: "Let's show them that even in Cyprus we can create the kind of 'home' atmosphere the way only you know how to do it". In order to facilitate that support, the club decided on Thursday to subsidise airline tickets to Cyprus for Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.

Owing to the great demand, the club decided yesterday to subsidise yet more of these tickets. For more information and ticket purchases, click here.
