Israel's first winter month will see Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team play some very exciting fixtures

Monday Nov. 3rd, 8.55pm: Israeli Premier League matchweek 7 Hapoel Tel Aviv – Maccabi Tel Aviv

broadcast live on Israeli channel 11

Tel Aviv, the "White City", will take on shades of yellow and red and well, 'nuff said. For ninety minutes the whole city will hold its breath waiting for the final result from Bloomfield Stadium. Does the expression "the city that never sleeps" ring any bells?

Sunday Nov. 9th, 8.55pm: Israeli Premier League matchweek 8 Maccabi Tel Aviv – Maccabi Netanya

broadcast live on Israeli channel 11

After a season in the second division, Maccabi Netanya return to the top flight for their first league encounter with Maccabi Tel Aviv in over a year, in a battle for Maccabi "Yellow" bragging rights. Head coach Yossi Mizrahi's squad have already faced the red half of Tel Aviv at Bloomfield Stadium this season, and made the short trip back up the coast empty-handed. The man responsible for making sure that doesn't happen again, veteran striker Eran Levy, has however never scored against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Monday Nov. 22nd, 8.55pm: Israeli Premier League matchweek 9 Hapoel Tel Aviv – Maccabi Tel Aviv

broadcast live on Israeli channel 11

Another "match of the season" that isn't really the "match of the season"? So what would you call a clash between the reigning champions and the current league leaders? Between the two teams that between them have held the Israeli Premier League title the last three years? Between a team that have yet to lose this season and another who refuse to say die?

Saturday Nov. 29th, 8pm: Israeli Premier League matchweek 10 Maccabi Tel Aviv – Hapoel Haifa

broadcast live on Israeli sports channels 53 and 52HD

If Maccabi's league performances were judged by Saturdays, the league would be just getting started. This will be the team's first Saturday league fixture of the 2014/15 season and if statistics are anything to go by, it can't come too soon. Of the eleven Saturday league fixtures played last season, Maccabi won ten, including the victory away at Hapoel Haifa that ended a run of two consecutive defeats. In the return fixture at home Maccabi were not so fortunate, sharing the points with the red side of Haifa.
