Midfielder Mahran Radi has no reason to await the results of today's contest between second-placed Kiryat Shmona and Hapoel Tel Aviv: "Our minds are only on ourselves"

After last night's 0-2 win at Hapoel Ra'anana, Maccabi Tel Aviv returned to first place in the Israeli Premier League table, for the time being at least. Tonight second-placed Ironi Kiryat Shmona will face Hapoel Tel Aviv and a win would return them to the top spot, but for Maccabi midfielder Mahran Radi this is not what concerns him at the moment: "Our minds are only on ourselves. True, for the time being our place in the table is in the hands of Kiryat Shmona, the club that started this matchweek in the number one spot, but I still hope we'll finish on top".

In two days' time, Maccabi will return to Netanya Municipal Stadium for the seventh time this season, this time to face Maccabi Haifa in the "Toto" (League) Cup final: "This is a contest between two clubs with lots of supporters, big clubs, and I think it should be an interesting match. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, this will be our last match in Netanya which has really become a home away from home for us recently. But next week we're back at Bloomfield, and that's where everyone loves to play".
