Maccabi Tel Aviv were drawn in Nyon, Switzerland today to play against Gorica of Slovenia in the first round of Europa League qualifying.

The Head Coach, Shota Arveladze spoke to the Club’s Official Website about the Yellow & Blue’s opponent: “At this stage of the competition you can always find yourself playing against teams which could surprise you and although we don’t have long to prepare, we are doing exactly that. The first leg will be played at home and I am sure that everyone including myself is looking forward towards playing in front of Maccabi’s fans.”

The first leg will take place on Thursday June 30th with the return leg the following Thursday July 7th. Should Maccabi advance to the second round they will play against either KS Teuta of Albania or Kazakhstan outfit FC Kairat Almaty in a two legged tie on July 14th and July 21st.
