Eitan Tibi, Maccabi Tel Aviv’s veteran central defender spoke about his Club’s goalless draw at Bnei Yehuda on Matchday 20 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Ha’Al:

“It was a frustrating match. We had chances but we were unable to score the goal that we needed. We still have a long way to go in the league.”

Dead ball situations:
“The stats don’t lie and we haven’t scored a set piece goal. We’re working on it and we are practicing but we just haven’t been able to do it and that is a way to open up the game. I believe that we will improve on this aspect in the near future.”

Getting back to the league after the State Cup:
“There’s no question that we were disappointed about the State Cup and we knew that this was a league match and that was a Cup contest. Right now we aren’t in the Cup and we were eliminated. We have to look ahead and learn from the mistakes that we made, however, today we were unable to do so.”
