Jordi Cruyff, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Head Coach summed up his squad’s 0:0 draw against Ashdod on Matchday 25 of the Israel Premier League:

“We were very sloppy in our passing the first half. We had a few half chances in the second half but we really didn’t have the possession and enough creative players on the pitch today.”

Losing the points against clubs on the lower half of the table:
“We showed we can so it’s possible. Every point is money time. The two points we lost today are worth same as the two we lost at home to them. It’s a marathon and it’s going to be tough. We have to win and we weren’t capable of doing that today.”

Not being able to control possession:
“It’s difficult to explain. We lost points against teams that are lower on the table. We played the same team as last week that has a lot of fighters. We didn’t control the ball and it’s tough to create chances. We created half chances but it wasn’t enough.”

A marathon:
“You play all of the teams and the top 5 three times. It’s no sense to think what will be in two, three weeks. It’s a marathon and we want to grab the points where we can, but inside we feel that we lost two points.”
