Eyal Golasa, the Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder looked ahead to the 2017/18 campaign’s last Matchday at Bnei Yehuda on Monday at the Moshava Stadium at 21:00:

“This season was quite long but we love what we do and we aren’t looking at when it will end. We will do what we need to in order to finish off the campaign as best as possible.”

Injury factor this past season:
“Last season I was at the National Team and I ended up missing too many training sessions. I hope I’ll be ready next season with no injuries.”

Jordi’s impact on Israeli football:
“When Jordi arrived it was something that we weren’t used to in Israel. You’ll only really feel what he did down the road.”

The changes that will occur with a new coach:
“We don’t know who the coach or staff will be so I can’t really discuss it. They will want to make changes and there are some players who have finished contacts and will leave as well.”

The best thing for loaned players:
“I think it’s the best thing to do for the loaned players, to go to other clubs and to play. It’s good for both the players and the club.”

Playing together with Dor Peretz:
“We had a very good relationship on the pitch and the staff will have to decide which positions they will bring foreign players in. I believe that we will be a strong club with the goal of bringing back the title.”

Giving 100%:
“I would have loved to be fit all season. Every match I played I gave 100% and I don’t think that I could have done any more. I tried to improve every training session to be able to give it my all on the pitch.”

His future with Maccabi:
“If it was up to me I’d stay here until the age of 70.”

The last match of the season against Bnei Yehuda:
“We’re expecting a tough match as they always are against Bnei Yehuda and we want to end the season with a good taste in our mouths.”
