Last week, the three Chinuch L’Psagot, Educating for Excellence Centers where the Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club Foundation held their weekly training sessions hosted school year end practices.
The children from the Kiryat Shalom, Netanya and Ramle Centers have been training all season long with a Maccabi Tel Aviv Youth Coach who not only worked with them on their skills on the pitch but those off of it as well. The youth received Maccabi values from the coaches as they worked on leadership, self confidence and teamwork skills which they will be able to take with them for the rest of their lives.
Over 150 children took part in the season long project that also featured a football tournament at Kiryat Shalom, becoming the Maccabi CEO for a Day, rejuvenated one of the center’s courtyards with the Yellow & Blue players and staff plus other holiday activities and programs that brought huge smiles to the faces of the children.
Chinuch L’Psagot, Educating for Excellence strives to strengthen the Israeli society by reducing social gaps and creating equal opportunities for children with potential for excellence who live in the country’s social and geographic periphery.
