Maccabi Tel Aviv’s new Spanish recruit, left back Enric Saborit sat down to discuss a number of topics from his special love, to what the fans can expect to his first few days at Maccabi:

“When I received the offer from Maccabi, the first thing I did was check out the city of Tel Aviv, Israel and Maccabi. I knew that Maccabi is a good and strong club.”

Getting used to his new surroundings:
“I’ve acclimated fairly easily since arriving. My teammates have been terrific and the staff has been welcoming also. I’m very happy as to the way everyone has treated me since I’ve arrived.”

What the fans can expect:
“The fans are getting someone that loves the game, that likes to attack, take advantage of opportunities and helps the squad. I’m sure with all of that, the fans will be very satisfied with me.”

His expectations for the upcoming campaign:
“My expectations for the upcoming season is to help the club reach the Europa League Group Stages, win the championship, which I know is important to Maccabi. That’s one of the reasons I came here, to win the championship.”

Playing together with Jair Amador:
“I didn’t know Jair Amador beforehand, but when I understood that he had signed with Maccabi I spoke to him and he said that he was very happy with his first few days at the Club. I’m sure that when we play together on the left side we will be able to understand each other very well.”

His love for dogs:
“I love animals, especially dogs. I hope that I’ll be able to bring my dogs to Tel Aviv from Bilbao and that we can enjoy outings together.”
