Eden Kartzev, 18, has signed a two year extension to his contract which will secures him at the Club until the end of the 2020/21 season.

The 18 year-old midfielder, who is a product of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Youth Department and has been training exclusively with the first team since the start of the season.

Having made his senior debut for Maccabi at the age of 17 in a Toto Cup match against Hapoel Ra’anana in August 2017, Kartzev, later joined Beitar Tel Ramle on loan where he scored 4 goals in 12 appearances in Israel’s second tier. 

Kartzev, also made two appearances for Israel’s Under 21’s and has been a regular for the young national teams with a total of 53 international appearances.

Maccabi’s CEO Ben Mansford, told the clubs’ official website: “Eden needs no real introduction. He has been a stand out youth player for both Maccabi and Israel. I have been delighted to see the progress Eden has made with the Academy, on loan at Beitar Tel Aviv and especially since the start of preseason. Eden is a first team squad member on merit. This is another of our Academy graduates to commit their future to the Club. I am sure Eden will continue to develop and is pushing very hard for his opportunity with the first team.”

Kartzev added: “As a player who joined Maccabi Tel Aviv at the age of 13, this is my fifth season at the club and I am delighted that boyhood dream is receiving a rubber stamp. I am delighted to have extended my contract by two more seasons. I hope to make as much progress as possible and contribute from my ability to Maccabi Tel Aviv’s first team so that together we could reach achievements in the future”.
