Omer Atzily who scored a pair of goals for Maccabi Tel Aviv, reflected back on the 2:1 win over Kiryat Shemona on Matchday 10 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Japanika:

“This was a very important win and everyone knows how difficult it is to play and win in Kiryat Shemona. The brace I scored was a bonus and I’m happy we did the job we needed to do. Now it’s onto the break and then the next match.”

The match:
“We came into the match in good shape and we deserved to win and I’m happy about it.”

Maccabi so far this season:
“It’s always a good feeling to go on break with a win and it’s a long season. It’s only November and no one wins the title after one round of matches. I hope we can continue on and do what we need to.”

About not being called up for the National Team:
“I don’t know why but I wish everyone the best. It’s always great to be on the National Team and hopefully the next time I will be.”

Disappointed about not being with the National Team:
“It’s always great to be on the National Team and I’m disappointed not to be able to play such an important match in Glasgow. But it’s ok, I hope that they’ll do well and that the next time I’ll be there as well.”
