Dor Micha opened his account in the new league season with a cracking strike, Maccabi’s first league goal of the season, in their 2-0 win over Ness Ziona on Saturday and gave his perspective of what happened in the match.

“I don’t think we did as much as we could but we had good passages of play. If we take the good parts of the game, we will do fine,” the midfielder said.

“We need to concentrate on the task ahead. The European campaign for this season is now behind us and we will devote all our efforts to repeat our great success last season,” Micha added.

He was particularly satisfied with his goal: “I don’t recall the last time I scored a goal like that. I hope it will open the flood gates for many more.”
