Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Vladimir Ivic spoke after the disappointing 1-1 draw with bottom side Ness Ziona on Saturday and said the side would need to improve in upcoming games.

“For sure, this is not a good result for us, we wanted to take all three points but we lost confidence in the second half.

“For sure, it’s not good for us. We wanted to take all three points but we lost confidence in the second half.”

He spoke about opponents who throw all their players behind the ball and make it difficult for Maccabi to develop attacks.

“We have had this kind of opponent in the past and it’s never easy against sides who like to close down their defence.”

He said he was not disappointed at conceding a goal was only natural and it had to happen at some point.

“It has happened now, and if it were not to be this game it would have happened at some point in the future. It is impossible to play for months without conceding a goal.”
