As the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) is celebrated across the world on December 3rd, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Foundation launched a unique activity where awareness is raised about the importance of equality for people with disabilities in all areas of society.
Last Wednesday, the ‘Maccabi Special’ project was launched together with ‘Special Olympics’ and ‘Achim Lasemel’ organization where a unique team was formed consisting of people with disabilities and fans.
The ‘Maccabi Special’ activities are set to take place during the season with the team holding weekly training session in addition to participating in tournaments and competitions against similar teams.
