Maccabi Tel Aviv FC and Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg reached an agreement on the sale of midfielder Oscar Gloukh (for an undisclosed fee).

Maccabi’s Head of Football Department, Barak Itzhaki, told the club’s official website: “Oscar grew up at Maccabi’s Youth Academy from a young age where he received all the tools in order to develop and progress. Gloukh showed his commitment to Maccabi both on and off the pitch and displayed in addition to his quality, a strong work ethic and maturity which is unusual for such a young player. Everyone at Maccabi is convinced that Oscar will continue his progress and we all wish him good luck.”

Gloukh (18) a product of Maccabi’s Youth Academy, scored this season 6 goals and assisted in 8 others during the 23 appearances in all competitions. The diminutive midfielder made his senior debut  at the age of 17 in a Toto Cup match against Hapoel Jerusalem in the 2020/21 season. Oscar continued to shine with the first team last season at the end of which he led Israel’s youth national side to the UEFA European Under-19 Championship finals where Israel finished in the runners up spot after losing to England in the final.

In the 2022/23 season Oscar continued to play a key role at Maccabi’s senior side and also earned a call up to the Israel national for which he made 2 international appearances and scored 1 goals.

Overall Oscar made a total of 35 appearances in Maccabi’s Yellow and Blue colours scoring 10 goals.
