Maccabi Tel Aviv is announcing several key staff appointments for Robbie Keane’s back-room staff who will be supported by Rory Delap as Assistant Head Coach, Andy Liddell as Senior Fitness Coach and Phillip Hudson as Senior Performance Analyst. The identity of Robbie Keane’s 1st Assistant Coach and Goalkeeping Coach will be published at a later stage.

Rory Delap, (46) joins Maccabi from Championship side Stoke City where he worked between 2018-2023 as 1st Team coach and Development coach. After retiring with more than 600 appearances across the English Leagues at Stoke City, Southampton, Derby County, Sunderland, Carlisle, Barnsley, Burton and the Republic of Ireland – Delap turned his attention to coaching. He joined Derby County’s Youth Academy in 2014 and in four years worked his way up as the Lead Coach of the U18’s and U21’s.

Andy Liddell, (50) was the Republic of Ireland’s national team Fitness coach (2019 – 2020) and held the same positions at Ipswich Town (2011 – 2018), and Rotherham United (2010 – 2011) where he was also a first and reserve team manager. Liddell, played close to 600 matches for Barnsley, Wigan, Sheffield United, Oldham Athletic and Scotland at U21 level, has a degree in Elite Sports Performance from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Phillip Hudson (35) joins Keane’s coaching staff as Senior Analyst from Middlesbrough where he has been working since 2012 as Head of Analysis, First Team Analyst and Head Academy Analyst.
