Orel Baye (178) will continue at Maccabi Tel Aviv for the next three years after signing a new contract until the end of the 2025/26 season.

After signing his new contract, Baye, who will join Hapoel Hadera on a season-long-loan, told the club’s official website: “Since joining Maccabi at the age of 13 I dreamed of signing a professional contract and playing for the senior side. Today I made my first significant step on the way to fulfil that dream, but the real hard work begins now.”

Maccabi’s CEO, Ben Mansford, added: “We are pleased that another one of our bright young talents has committed his long-term future to Maccabi and is going to have a top-flight loan experience at such a young age. We look forward to watching Orel continue to progress this season.”

Baye, who made his senior debut in March 2022 at a State Cup Quarter Final tie against Maccabi Jaffa, scored last season 8 goals in 19 appearances for the youth team Maccabi Tel Aviv ‘Schahar’.

Baye was part of the Israel U19 side that in the summer of 2022 won the silver medal in the U19 European Championship finals. Baye has 2 goals to his name represented Israel’s young national sides on 10 international matches.
