The 2024/25 season is already behind us, but for several Maccabi players, the forthcoming international break might have a big importance having been called up to various national teams.

The Israel national team is scheduled to play two matches in this window – a World Cup qualifier away to Estonia on June 6th followed by a friendly “at home” in Debrecen Hungary against Slovakia the following Tuesday. National team coach Ran Ben Shimon called up Maccabi’s Dor Peretz, Roy Revivo, Dor Turgeman, Idan Nachmias, Raz Shlomo, Yoav Gerafi, Itamar Noy, and Stav Lemkin. Osher Davida who was called up initially was forced to withdraw and miss a chance to make his full debut after suffering a calf muscle injury in training.

Nemanja Stojic was called up to the Serbian national team, ahead of their World Cup qualifiers away to Albania on June 7th and at home against Andorra on June 10th.

The Israel Under-21 national team will play a friendly match against Bulgaria on Thursday June 5th, as no less than five Maccabi players were named in the squad: Ofek Malika, Noam Ben Harush, Ido Oli, Saied Abu Farhi, and Noam Schwartz.
