Both sides faced each other in the league 170 times with Maccabi winning 64 matches, drawing 59 while Hapoel won 47 with a total goal tally of 219-158.

After the number of victories in derbies to each side stood at 45 each at the end of the 2012/13 season, Maccabi has since opened a gap of 17 more victories.

Maccabi’s all time appearance record holder, Miko Belo, also made the most appearances in derbies recording 33 matches. Sheran Yeini, is behind Belo on both charts with 32 derby appearances, while Avi Nimni and Benny Tabak share third place with 29 appearances each.

So far, 94 Maccabi players have scored in the Tel Aviv derby. The leading goalscorers in derbies are Eran Zahavi and Shiye Glazer with 11 goals each.

Out of 79 players who delivered assists for Maccabi in the derby, Avi Nimni holds the assist record against Hapoel with 6 assists. Eran Zahavi and Giyora Spiegel share second place with 5 assists each.

A total of 57 players featured for both clubs in derbies. Among the current squad, Osher Davida, Sagiv Jehezkel, Raz Shlomo and Denny Gropper previously played for Hapoel. Hapoel’s defender Shahar Piven, and forward Omri Altman played for Maccabi.
