Sayed Abu Farchi will leave Maccabi Tel Aviv to join the Colorado Rapids, following an agreement reached with the MLS club for the transfer of the 20-year-old forward.

 Abu Farchi, scored this season five goals in eight matches including a brace in the Super Cup victory. Together with last season’s 11 goals in 42 appearances, Abu Farchi scored a total of 16 goals in 54 appearances and leaves the club having won 3 trophies: 1 State Cup (25/26) and 2 Super Cups (24/25, 26/27).

A graduate of Maccabi’s Youth Academy, Abu Farchi, joined the club in 2016 and made his senior debut at the age of 17 during a Conference League qualifier against Celje in August 2023. Shortly after making his senior league debut against Bnei Reineh in January 2024, Abu Farchi, who had an impressive record of 35 goals in 73 matches for Maccabi’s U16’s and U17’s, joined SC Kafr Qasim on loan. In a six-month long loan spell with the second division side, Abu Farchi scored 3 goals in 13 appearances. He then spent the 24/25 campaign on loan with Maccabi Bnei Reineh, where he scored 6 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions.

A member of the Israel Under 21 squad for which he made 10 appearances, Abu Farchi, represented the young Israeli national sides at U-19, U-17 and U-16 levels making a total of 28 international appearances where he scored 6 goals.
