Defender Osher Abu spent three years in the club's Under-19s but made one senior team appearance in the quarter finals of the "Toto" (League) Cup against Maccabi Petach Tikva in the 2011/12 season. He came on as a last minute substitute but then saw thirty minutes of action in extra time as Maccabi lost the penalty shoot-out that finally decided the match. He was a lynchpin in the Maccabi Under-19 defence and won with them the U19 Premier League championship in the 2011/12 season. He also demonstrated attacking skills by scoring two league goals and a third in Cup competition. In the 2012/13 season he began his duties with the Under-19s in the latter half of the season, established himself in the squad and scored two goals in a season that saw the them finish second in the Under-19 Premier League.
