Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Eran Zahavi celebrated both the victory in the cup tie at Netanya and his maiden goal for the club: "I truly enjoyed playing in the match, this is a really great club."

After guaranteeing themselves a place in the last sixteen of the National Cup competition on Tuesday night, the MTA players returned Wednesday morning to the training grounds at Kiryat Shalom to start preparations for their Saturday tie against Hapoel Ramat Gan at the National Stadium (7.30 P.M.). Sheran Yeini recovered quickly from the head injury he sustained in the Cup tie and trained along with the other ten players that were in the starting line-up for that match. The rest of the squad, including Gonzalo Garcia who's back from Spain, conducted their own training.

Head coach Oscar Garcia admitted it wasn't easy getting past Maccabi Netanya: "It was a difficult match, but the players knew what they were doing. It's no mean feat to beat the same club four times in a row, but we played well and had a few shots on goal. We're improving as the season goes along and I'm happy about that." Oscar is already preparing for the Yellows' next game:"The fans have only next week's derby with Hapoel Tel Aviv on their minds. We're focused on this Saturday, and that's Hapoel Ramat Gan."

Eran Zahavi, who scored his first goal in a blue and yellow jersey, is happy about his start as a Maccabi Tel Aviv player: "It's great to score a goal, especially now since it's been a while for me. We still have a long way to go and another match on Saturday. Everybody here at Maccabi Tel Aviv's been great to me since I arrived, I really enjoyed the match because this is a great team. We can always improve but we're on the right track."
