"We simply can't wait for our first home league tie against Bnei Yehuda". In an exclusive interview to be published in the Bnei Yehuda match programme in honour of the start of the new season, Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Gal Alberman expressed his excitement in the run up to the match and the 2013/14 season: "Last season was absolutely amazing but now we all have to bundle our energies anew and make possible a whole new set of experiences. The history of this club is constantly being written and I hope that in our time we'll all be writing new and ever better chapters in that book".

In the interview, Alberman, starting his fourth season for the club, added and emphasised that his and the whole club's desire is always growing: "Most important for us is to carry on with the development and improvement that started last season. Obviously we have to take the competition into account and we'll be facing some considerable challenges, but we're focusing on ourselves and looking ahead to creating as good a future for the club as we possibly can".
