On a Saturday full of victories for Maccabi Youth Division teams, the Under-17s won to go top of the table

Maccabi Tel Aviv's Under-17s’ good run of form of the last few weeks continued on Saturday, and was rewarded with the capture of the top spot in the national Under-17 Premier League South table. Coaches Ziv Arie and Avi Yechiel’s lads headed off for their away tie with Machene Yehuda and returned with an impressive 0-7 victory. Eliel Peretz, who until this match had found the net just twice, raised his season tally to five with a hat-trick. Jonathan Cohen strengthened his position as Maccabi Tel Aviv "Oded"’s leading goal scorer with a brace and Shaked Azulay and Dan Glazer provided the other two. This matchweek 11 victory, combined with Hapoel Tel Aviv’s loss to Beitar Jerusalem, catapulted the side to the top of the league table.

The Under-16s, who last week saw their run of five consecutive wins halted with a loss to Bnei Yehuda, returned to form with a 0-5 away win over Hapoel Ashkelon. Ezra Hana, Hadar Levi (twelve league goals), Daniel Rahimi, Raz Yitsham and Roi Tsarom all scored to push Maccabi three places up in the table to fourth. Next week they'll welcome league leaders Maccabi Petah Tikva for a top-of-table encounter at the Kiryat Shalom training ground. Maccabi's Under-15 teams also registered wins. Team 1 set off for a tricky tie against Bnei Yehuda and returned with a 1-2 victory that helped them climb in the league table. Team 2 also won 1-3 at Section Nes Tziona, their fourth triumph this season.

Maccabi Tel Aviv’s teams for 14 year-olds and younger were back in action this week after last week-end’s rainy weather forced a cancellation of the all of their matches. Maccabi's two Under-14 teams immediately faced  a local derby, with Team South beating Team North 1-0. The Youth Division’s successful week-end was rounded off with victories by the Under-13s. Team South beat Hapoel Ramat Gan 2-1 at home while Team North subdued Hapoel Ramat Hasharon 5-0. The younger Maccabi teams also returned to league action this week, though in accordance with a decision taken this season the results will not be published.
