Eden Ben Basat and Nosa Igiebor joined the rest of the MTA squad for training. The "home" leg against Maribor will be played in Cyprus
New signings Eden Ben Basat and Nosa Igiebor, who this past week joined Maccabi Tel Aviv from French side Toulouse and Spanish side Real Betis respectively, participated in their first team training on Saturday in yellow-and-blue kit ahead of the team's Champions League 3rd round away leg against Slovenian champions NK Maribor. The team will depart for Slovenia on Monday with the match taking place on Wednesday at 8.30pm local time. It has now been officially announced that in accordance with UEFA's decision that due to security concerns Israeli teams' "home" games must be played outside the country the return leg will be played in Larnaca in Cyprus. The match will take place on Tuesday August 5th and start at 9pm Israeli time.
