In a competition designed to test technique, precision and speed, the team of Dan Einbinder, Tal Ben Haim and Ofek Barzani emerged the winners on Maccabi's last day at their Austrian training camp

The main focus of the MTA squad's preparations ahead of the 2014/15 season will come to end today when the squad take off for Israel from their Austrian training camp in the village of Bad Waltersdorf. Ten days of training and three pre-season friendlies were concluded this morning with the squad's final practice in Austria, a session divided into two parts. In the first part the players were divided into pairs and worked on gym-like exercises on the training pitch. In the second part the players were divided into groups of three for a competition designed to test technique, precision and speed. In the end it was the team of midfielders Dan Einbinder and Tal Ben Haim and defender Ofek Barzani that emerged the winners, ahead of second-placed midfielders Dor Micha, Gal Alberman and Nikita Rukavtsya. The prize for the winning trio was the privilege of returning to the hotel by coach. The runners-up took the same route, but had to choose between going on foot or by bicycle. The goalkeeping team as well as that of defender Omri Ben Harush and strikers Rade Prica and Mavis Chibote also returned to the hotel on two-wheelers. The teams placed last – midfielders Eran Zahavi and Omri Altman and defender Eytan Tibi – and last but one – team captain Sheran Yeini, striker Barak Itzhaki and midfielder Mahran Radi – all made the journey on foot.

The team are expected to take off for Israel in the evening and will return to the Kiryat Shalom training ground for practice sessions during the course of the week. This coming Thursday they will also play their final pre-season friendly there ahead of the 2014/15 season against Israeli Premier League promotion side Hapoel Petach Tikva.

On another matter, the period for renewing 2013/14 season tickets for the 2014/15 season is entering its final days and will conclude altogether on Monday July 7th at midnight. Renewal rates of season tickets are already so close to the Bloomfield Stadium subscription capacity that sales of new season tickets for 2014/15 are not anticipated. That means that current holders who do not renew their season tickets by the deadline date may unfortunately not be able secure new subscriptions. If such sales do prove possible, official notification by the club will be provided to the general public. Click here for more details and season ticket renewal.
