“It’s part of our duties at the club and we do it with pleasure. It’s a very good event and it is a worthy partnership", said Zahavi, who also spoke about the contract extension: “I said all season long that I am happy here and the contract extension proved it. I chose to stay and I did what I think is right for my career. I met with Mitch Goldhar and Jordi Cruyff and they shared their vision on the club’s future. After the meeting I realized that I want to be there as well. The financial option is good but not everything. I haven't given up on Europe. If something comes up, we will work on it together. I am very happy with my decision. I feel appreciated here and I’m enjoying the football”.

Zahavi on his next goal: “We are not hiding the fact that we need to get into the Champions League. The club deserves to be in the Champions League and there won’t be any excuses this time”.

Zahavi commented on his impressive numbers this season: “I’ll be happy to make the same numbers next season. I never lower my expectations. These numbers are not typical for a midfielder but the team objectives are always more important. It’s a bonus to do well individually, as long as the team does well.”
