Maccabi Tel Aviv is one of the 8 teams participating in the Ramljak Tournament in Zagreb, Croatia. Last night (Friday) they played their second match of the competition and came up short losing 1:0 to Italian side Cagliari

After the match coach Ziv Arie said: "Even though we lost, we controlled the pace of the game. Unfortunately the only shot on target resulted in the only goal of the match. In the first game against Zagreb the play was pretty much even with maybe a slight advantage to Dinamo in the second half."

Arie also commented on his new players: "This is a brand new team and a very young one. We are just at the beginning of our journey and it's going to take time to come together. Some of the players that moved up from the Under-17's have adapted right away and contributed in these matches. Participating in this tournament and the experience gained at this point is more important than the results. This event is being held in amazing facilities and everything is really well organized, so the team is having a great time."

On Friday night the club had a traditional Shabbat dinner and on Saturday they will play their final match of the group stage against Olympiakos of Greece which could propel the team to the 3rd place match.
