Maccabi Tel Aviv kicks off its new Ex-Players Club holding activities at the match against Hapoel Ra’anana with the team of 95/96.

Maccabi Tel Aviv FC has formed an Ex-Players Club in recognition of its former players and the Club’s illustrious history. The Club and its management recognizes the importance of honoring its history and the men who played an active role in helping create it.

A committee of three former players (Zvika Rosen, Benny Tabak, and Alon Natan) was formed in order to set a criteria and manage the Ex-Players Club.

The committee will be responsible for allocating tickets to Maccabi’s home matches for former players from a quota of tickets which the Club will dedicate specifically for that purpose. The role of the Ex-Players Club will also be to look out for the general welfare of the former players in association with the Club.

The Ex-Players Club will also have a key role in helping to collect memorabilia to assist in building the Club’s archives.

In order to kick off the Ex-Players Club, Maccabi Tel Aviv’s team of 95/96 were invited to the match against Hapoel Ra’anana including coach Dror Kashtan. Victor Moroz and Yevgeni Kashnetzev were flown in especially from their respective homes.

On April 21st, 20 Ex-Players will travel to the Sammy Ofer Stadium as guests of the Club for the State Cup Semi Finals against Bnei Sakhnin and on May 17th a group of Ex-Players will attend the Club’s annual Gala event.

CEO Martin Bain said: “Maccabi Tel Aviv has an illustrious history and the creation of an Ex-Players Club will not only honour past achievements and recognize those involved, but will also be a core part of the club’s development going forward.”
