Eyal Golasa, the Maccabi midfielder who came to the club the past summer from Greece, looked ahead to this Saturday’s match against Ashdod while also looking back at the current situation:

“I signed with Maccabi for the long term and I’ve taken everything into proportion. We have some great players and we are looking ahead.”

Responsibility of the players:

“We aren’t blaming the coach, we all talk about the situation and we are all taking responsibility. We know very well that it’s all on us and during training we have to keep going hard as we are the ones on the pitch and are responsible to get is out of the situation.”

Beginning the game strong:

“We did that in Kfar Saba and played well for the first thirty minutes, we scored and then we had to really try to keep it up and continue pressing the other team.”

Playing for PAOK in Greece:

“In Greece it’s a bit different as Olympiacos has been the champion for a very long time as Maccabi has been here. But no one is running away from the responsibility and I’m sure we will get out of this funk and hopefully this Saturday we will get things going.”

Gaining one point on Beer Sheva:

“I’ll tell you that even if we would have won we all still believe in or abilities and we have to look at ourselves and not at Beer Sheva. Once we get things going everything will start rolling the right way.”
