Jordi Cruyff, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Head Coach summed up his squad’s 2:0 win over Maccabi Petah Tikva on Matchday 26 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Ha’Al:

“I think the first half was good, the second half so so. We had chances to help our goal average and we missed too many chances. That something we have to improve as we go into the playoffs. We have to take half chances and we are struggling with that. The fans pushed the team forward and we need the fans full support into the playoffs. We need to bring the Bloomfield feeling back again as the playoffs are very open and equal. Anything is possible.”

Looking back at the regular season:
“I would prefer to analyze the first round as weak and bad. We gave away a lot of points and didn’t play well. We were the best team in the second round by points and by everything. I hope that it gives us confidence going into the playoffs which is a new round against tough opponents where everybody plays to win. I hope that in the money time we can show that we can win the league.”

The Championship Playoffs ahead:
“We have to continue to play the bigger teams as we did in the second round. I think we’ve taken a lot of points especially in the direct confrontations, we just have to go with that mentality. When we seem to go with 99% we give up but when we give 100% effort the results come. We have to continue to fight this way and get similar results like we’ve had against the bigger teams in the second round. We’d prefer to be in a different spot as we lost some points. We got punished for that but everything is open for all the teams. Direct confrontation, emotional nice for the fans.”
