Dan Glazer, the Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder spoke ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League Playoff Round contest against Sarpsborg from Norway with the winner heading to the competition’s Group Stages:

“I always dreamed about this since I was 6 yers old, that I would be a part of Maccabi Tel Aviv. I am happy to be here and I hope I’ll be a part of the squad for many years to come.”

Chance to correct last week’s result:
“It’s a very important match for the club and we know that we came back to Israel with a 1:3 result but we have a chance to correct that tomorrow and hopefully we will do just that. We will try to fix the issues that we had last match and we know that they are strong on set pieces and on long balls.”

Going match by match:
“We aren’t looking at Hapoel Beer Sheva as we are just looking ahead to the next match. We did that for each Europa League match plus for the Toto Cup matches and Maccabi Haifa.”

Focusing on the match:
“The club is doing a great job taking down the pressure as they always do so we can focus on the game itself. We know it’s a very important match for the club and we will have to give our best and do the best we can.”

Pitch conditions in Norway:
“The conditions were the same for both clubs in Norway and now they are here in weather conditions that they aren’t used to so hopefully that will play a factor.”

Fan support:
“The fans support is crucial for us tomorrow and we need them behind us to make sure that we can get the result that we need so at the end of the match we can all celebrate together.”

Prepared for the task at hand:
“We have come back from a 1:3 deficit situation and we need to win 2:0. The coach has prepared us very well for the match and we will look to put in our best performance.”
