Itay Shechter, the Maccabi Tel Aviv striker summed up his performance as well as his team’s after a 1:1 draw at Maccabi Haifa:

“It’s disappointing to give a goal up near the end of the game off of a set piece. We are really working hard to finish the season on a high note. We started to tire in the second half. They didn’t have many chances other than the two set pieces but we will take the good things and move on to the next match.”

Always learning:
“If you give up a goal near the end of the game it can affect future matches but we always come into every match looking to win. We’re disappointed with the goal but we will learn from it and move on.”

Working hard:
“The coach demands us to work hard until the last match and what we do in training can reflect on the next season. We have one more game and then we will go on vacation.”

Helping Maccabi:
“The last couple of matches I feel that I have been part of things and I am here to help Maccabi. All in all some matches are better than other ones.”
