Maccabi Tel Aviv visits Maccabi Netanya on Saturday night (20:30) September 22nd on Matchday 4 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Japanika. Tickets are on sale for Season Ticket Holders via the Leaan Ticket Agency Website, telephone *8780 and the Leaan Ticket Office located at Frishman 42, Tel Aviv.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday September 20th at 12:00.

Maccabi fans will be sitting in the Upper West Sections 201-204 and Lower West Sections 101-104 unreserved seating.

Please Note: This match is part of the Points Allocation System and season ticket holders will receive 2 points for this contest while non-season ticket holders will receive 1 point. Make sure that when tickets are purchased via the Leaan Website, telephone or Leaan Ticket Office the season ticket number is used in order to receive full points. Should the purchase not be done by using the season ticket number points will not be allocated.

Should a ticket be purchased and the fan doesn’t attend the match, there will be no refunds and no points will be allocated.

The Maccabi Tel Aviv players received casual wear from the club’s official fashion designer, the BOSS brand today, Sunday.

The prestigious BOSS brand signed a 3-year contract to serve as the Club’s official fashion designer through FACTORY 54. The players came to the HUGO BOSS flagship store at the TLV Fashion Mall where a special launch event took place to celebrate the cooperation.

Midfielder Dan Glazer took the opportunity to talk about the partnership: “There’s a great atmosphere and we’re happy to be here at the BOSS store. They are treating us really well and it’s terrific to get to come here after a win. This is one of the biggest brands in the country and around the world. We’re happy that they are part of the Maccabi family and that we can wear their clothes.”

The collection for the club was specifically selected as it’s adapted for Israel’s climate as part of a young and fashionable line. The color chosen was navy blue and includes slim fit t-shirts, polo shirts and chino pants that are characterized by their narrow fit along with white sneakers that are perfect for the latest fashions. The players also received a custom made sport jacket together with sweaters and sweatshirts.

The BOSS brand is the official fashion designer for Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Juventus and the German National Team.

Maccabi Tel Aviv partnered with BOSS through FACTORY 54 which is owned by the Irani family and is the sole importer of the prestigious fashion brand in Israel.

Following his side’s 4:1 victory over Hapoel Raanana, Shahar Piven, the Yellow & Blue central defender spoke about a myriad of topics from how to pronounce his last name, being mentally strong, the coach’s belief in the players on the squad as well as having the opportunity to play:

“There were many games including National Team games, so the coach had no problem giving the younger players who have come back from loan the stage to perform. I’m happy to have had the chance and I hope to make a mark on the pitch.”

Playing well and being mentally strong:
“We played well today but it’s still the beginning of the league. We are a strong and quality team with a young squad along with many veterans who help us out a lot. Everyone makes mistakes as I did in the Beer Sheva match, but the most important thing is to continue on and play well and be mentally strong on the pitch. I had a good second half and we’re just at the start of our way.”

About the coach’s belief in the players on the squad:
“I’ve been doing what I’ve done my whole career which is to train hard and there are things that aren’t in my control including what is written in the press. The coach wouldn’t keep players if he didn’t believe in them and he believes in each player who is in the squad. Every match he puts in the best Starting XI.”

Improving:
“This is the profession that I’ve chosen. When I was in the second division I always wanted to play with lots of fans and pressure as that improves us as players and it makes us better.”

How to pronounce his last name:
“It’s Piven.”

Maccabi Tel Aviv scored 4 goals this evening and Dor Micha put his stamp on a pair of them as he picked up superb assists on Itay Shechter’s strike as well as one of Eliran Atar’s goals. The midfielder summed up the win over Hapoel Raanana:

“Over the seasons I’ve had plenty of good passes, but many of the balls didn’t make their way into the back of the goal, so it’s important that my teammates know how to finish and I’m very happy with today’s performance. Before the break we played good football and we’re playing well. We scored an early goal and that’s important as well. The game then opened up and that’s what made our lives easier today.”

About the squad:
“We of course believe in ourselves and that’s in our DNA. We have a deep squad with plenty of quality and there is tremendous potential here. This is perhaps the best said that we’ve had here over the past number of years. If we can take advantage of this potential then I believe we can take it all.”

Vladimir Ivic, the Yellow & Blue Head Coach was content with his squad’s performance in a 4:1 win over Hapoel Raanana on Matchday 3 of the Israel Premier League:

“We became more creative and had a better passing game in the second half. We tried to find space between the line of our opponent. After the second goal our job was easier but we need to play to the end, the 94’ and try to score as many goals as possible. We had a better attitude in the 2nd half and that’s why we played better.”

Every game is important:
“Every game is an important game and there are no easy games. We have to begin to prepare for the next game tomorrow and this is how we need to work going forward.” 

Giving 100%:
“It’s important that the players who play in front score and the assists are also important. This is something that I explain to the players every day and they understand that if they give 100% every game then we can deserve to win.”

On potential new players:
“We have a few days and we will see what will happen with the transfer market.”

Making changes in the squad:
“We change the team around a lot of times as we’ve had a number of games. I want to give the players a chance to show their quality and it’s easier for me now because I am more familiar with them.”

Battling in the 3 domestic competitions:
“We have three competitions and we have to fight for each one of them.”

The Yellow & Blue defeated Hapoel Raanana 4:1 at the Netanya Stadium on Matchday 3 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Japanika thanks to goals by Itay Shechter, Chico Ofoedu and a brace by Eliran Atar. Next Saturday night Maccabi Tel Aviv visits Maccabi Netanya on Matchday 4 as they will look to keep up their positive momentum in league play.

Head Coach Vladimir Ivic’s Starting XI included keeper Predrag Rajkovic, Eli Dasa, Sheran Yeini, Shahar Piven, Dan Glazer, Eyal Golasa, Ofir Davidzada, Dor Micha, Eliran Atar, Itay Shechter, Omer Atzily.

Available on the bench were keeper Haviv Ohayon, Chico Ofoedu, Eitan Tibi, Avi Rikan, Aaron Schoenfeld, Maor Kandil, Ruslan Barsky.

First Half
Maccabi opened the contest looking to control the ball but it was Raanana who had the first chance as Rajkovic blocked a free kick by Nemanja Nikolic. In the 7’ the Yellow & Blue had their first opportunity of the match, but Golasa’s attempt went over the bar. As Maccabi continued to press they found the back of the goal in the 16’ when a terrific through ball by Micha made its way to Shechter who slotted it home for a 1:0 lead.

Raanana looked to get back into the game in the 23’ when Maccabi lost the ball as Tal Ayala came in on Rajkovic but the keeper made the big save to keep the score as is. The Yellow & Blue continued to maintain possession for the balance of the half as Micha, Shechter and Atzily all had fine chances on goal but Raanana keeper Assaf Tzur was up to the task as the host’s took a 1:0 advantage into the break.

Second Half
Raanana had an opportunity to draw even in the 54’ but Kayes Ganem’s attempt missed the target while at the other end Golasa’s long range chance went over the goal. Coach Ivic made his first substitute in the 63’ as Ruslan Barsky replaced Atzily and saw his side double their advantage to 2:0.

Dasa broke down the right wing and sent a wonderful cross to Atar who made no mistake with the ball and put it behind Tzur. Rajko made another big save this time on a Ganem attempt in the 66’ as he looked to cut into the Maccabi lead, however, 3 minutes later the Yellow & Blue added their third goal of the contest. Golasa stole the ball and sent it to Micha who found Atar streaking in from the left side as #16 picked up his second goal of the match beating Tzur yet again for a 3:0 lead.

Ten minutes later a Raanana corner kick made its way into Rajkovic’s goal as the ball went off of Yeini for an own goal but they last word would be Maccabi’s as Ofoedu beat Tzur in the box to give the Yellow & Blue a 4:1 victory and the 3 points. Next Saturday night Maccabi will visit Maccabi Netanya on Matchday 4 of the Israel Premier League.
