Maccabi's U17s and U16s had the weekend off but the U10s to U14s opened their season 2012/13 league matches

Both of Maccabi Tel Aviv's Under-15 teams continued their efforts in matchweek 4 of the U15 Central District League. Team 1, Maccabi Tel Aviv "Eldad", booked their second win of the season with a convincing 1-7 away win at Ironi Modi'in, with seven different players joining in on the goalscoring. Team 2 will have the opportunity next week to return to winning ways when they travel to Hapoel Kiryat Ono but this week they lost for the second time this season, a 0-1 home defeat to Hapoel Rishon Lezion. In the U14 Central District League Maccabi's Team North also faced counterparts from Hapooel Rishon Lezion but with opposite results – Maccabi defeated their hosts 0-1. Team South also began the season on the right foot with a straightforward 5-0 win over Hapoel Ramat Gan. Maccabi's two Under-13 teams also had a bright start to the new season, with Team South beating Ironi Ramat Hasharon 2-4 away and Team North overwhelming Gadna Tel Aviv 5-1.

Two more encounters between Maccabi youth teams and their Hapoel Rishon Lezion counterparts took place in the U12 Central District League. Team South narrowly outscored their opposition 8-7 but Team North had a far more comfortable day, winning by the unlikely but impressive margin of 20-3. Maccabi's two Under-11 teams also faced opposition from Hapoel Rishon Lezion, with Team South emulating the U12 Team North achievement of scoring 20 goals but in their case without conceding at their own end. Team South were the second Maccabi Youth Division team to lose at the weekend, shipping five goals to their Rishon hosts without scoring themselves. Maccabi's two Under-10 teams opened their seasons with handsome victories. Team South defeated Beitar Jerusalem 10-2 and Team North fell just four goals short of the weekend's highest tally, beating Section Nes Ziona 16-4.

Next week all of the division's teams will return to action with the exception of the Under-17s, who will be on international break as the Israeli U17s compete in European championship qualifying matches.
