MTA's U16s booked their first win in three outings while the Under 15 Team 2 also returned to winning ways

With the Under-17s on international break, this Saturday's action in the MTA Youth Division began, in addition to the Under-19s, with the Under-16s.  Maccabi Tel Aviv have three representatives in the Israeli Under-17 squad: Goalkeeper Sahar Hason, captain Dan Glazer and defender Guy Aviv, all helping their side qualify for the elite round of the European Under-17 Championships after victories over Turkey and Kazakhstan in the qualifying rounds. Next Saturday, Maccabi Tel Aviv "Oded" will return to league duties with an intriguing home tie against Beitar Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Maccabi's Under-16s continued their league efforts with a victory after registering three consecutive draws. Head coach Eliezer Ben Aharon's lads emerged 5-0 winners from an away tie at Sektia Nes Tsiona. Raz Yitzhak opened the floodgates with his seventh goal of the season, Hadar Levi added a brace to bring his season total to five. The other two goalscorers, Tomer Altman and Yoav Nimni, both netted their maiden goals of the current season.

The club's Under -15 teams produced mixed results this Saturday. Team 1, Maccabi Tel Aviv "Eldar", suffered their first home defeat of the season, losing 2-3 to Hapoel Beer Sheva. Maccabi lead at the break courtesy of Omer Lakau, but after the restart the home side threw in everything they had and turned Maccabi's one- goal advantage into a two-goal deficit that even a last-minute strike by Ron Gabai could not completely erase. Team 2 on the other hand booked their first win on the road, and their second all told this season, with a 1-4 victory at Hapoel Kiryat Ono that brought their season total to four points from seven matches.

The Division's only draw this Saturday was recorded by the Under-14 Team South, a 2-2 stalemate against Gadna Tel Aviv. Team North booked their second win of the season, beating Ironi Modi'in 2-0 at the Tel Aviv University ground. The Under-13 Team South also played Ironi Modi'in on Saturday and fared even better, scoring five goals and conceding only one. The Division's second contest against a Sektia Nes Tsiona side fell to the Under-13 Team North, who beat their hosts 3-4.

Maccabi's Under-12 Team South also played in Nes Tsiona and hit the jackpot, firing 26 goals past their hapless hosts while conceding just one goal at the other end. Team North suffered their first loss of the season, a 4-5 defeat at Hapoel Ramat Gan. Both Under-11 teams won, with Team South producing a 21 goal route of their own Hapoel Ramat Gan opponents without conceding at their own end. Team North were also prolific, scoring 11 goals while shipping only 2 to Hapoel Rishon Lezion West. The Under-10 Team South reached double figures as well, defeating Bnei Yehuda 17-7. Team North lost to Ashdod FC 6-9.
