Former Maccabi Tel Aviv defender Gadi Brumer has joined the Youth Division coaching staff in advance of the 2013/14 season

One of Maccabi Tel Aviv's star players of the 1990's, defender Gadi Brumer, has joined the Youth Division coaching staff in advance of the upcoming 2013/14 season. Brumer, who last year was head coach of the young talent division at Beitar Tubruk, will become assistant head coach of Maccabi's Under-17s. In that role he'll be sharing with the youngsters in Maccabi's Youth Division his knowledge as an outstanding defender during one of the greatest periods in Maccabi Tel Aviv history. In his 13 seasons (1991-2004) as a leading defender at Maccabi Tel Aviv,  Brumer was party to such major achievements as four league championships, four prestigious State Cups and two Toto (League) Cups.

Shortly after retiring from active play, Brumer turned to coaching as a career and in the 2005/06 season he became assistant to head coach Nir Klinger at Maccabi Tel Aviv. His second post came in 2008 as assistant to head coach Tal Benin of Israel's Under-17s. It was after that time that he took on his role at Beitar Tubruk and this season he will be joining the coaching staff of the youth system he rose up through before becoming one of Maccabi Tel Aviv's all-time star players.
