Maccabi Tel Aviv's Youth Division are proud to introduce the coaching staff who will endeavour to carry over last year's successes into the 2013/14 season
With two months to go before the start of the 2013/14 season, the list of coaches has been announced who will lead the various teams of the Youth Division of Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club. A number of the names on the list will continue the stewardship of their teams as they advance up the table, while in other cases shifts have been made within the division or new coaches brought in.
Head coach of the last four years of Maccabi Tel Aviv's Under-21s, Amir Turgeman, has been appointed Director of Scouting at the club and will now be working for both the senior and the Under-21 teams. Turgeman's replacement at the helm of the Under-21s will be Ziv Arye, who two years ago lead Maccabi's Under-17s to their league championship and carried on last season with the same youngsters as Under-19s to a similar title. His assistants will be Gili Landau and Oren Kadosh. This will be Landau's second term at the Maccabi Youth Division. Three years ago Landau served under Youth Division football director Nir Levin as assistant before moving on to become youth division football director at Hapoel Rishon Lezion. Oren Kadosh is the son of former Maccabi goalkeeper Michael "Lupa" Kadosh. Taking over the reins at the Under-19s will be Eliezer Ben Aharon, who last year led his Under-17s to victory in the coveted State Cup for that age group.
In the 2013/14 season the Under-16s will be under the stewardship of Erez Belfer, who was appointed head coach after serving under Amir Turgeman as assistant head coach of the Under-21s. Assisting Belfer will be Haim Lanziano, one of the upcoming season's new faces, and Eitan Katz. The head coach of the Under-14 Team South will also be a new face at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Eyal Tzachi, who last season held the same position as head of the Under-15s at Maccabi Netanya.
