What did you think about the Champions League draw and the clubs you will be facing?

"It's never a disappointment to get any of these teams and to play in the Champions League. Of course many people wanted to get Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid but the clubs we'll play are at a very high level and this will be an amazing experience."

Matchday Two will pit Maccabi against one of their biggest rivals for the domestic league title, Hapoel Beer Sheva. How is the club preparing for the match?

"Maccabi and Beer Sheva will be two of the clubs that will battle head to head for the league title all the way through the season. I'm sure our guys will be ready just like they were last year and there's no reason why this year won't be any different."

How will you adapt to playing both in Europe and in the domestic Israeli league?

"I wasn't part of the European competition with Maccabi that took place over the last few years, but as someone who watched from afar I saw that the system in place can handle these situations. The club won the league championship the last few years and the Treble this past season so the professional staff knows exactly how to prepare us for the challenges ahead. The Maccabi players are professionals who also know how to handle themselves to make it through a long year successfully."
