It was hard to hide the disappointment following last night’s 1:0 loss to Bnei Yehuda on Matchday 11 of the Ligat Ha’Al at Haberfeld Stadium. Midfielder Dor Micha spoke about his feelings after his side couldn’t find a way past the host’s defense:

“It was very frustrating over the course of the match. We have been in this situation many times and in the past we have been able to score just like last week (against Kiryat Shemona) but this isn’t the way we want to play. We didn’t look good and we didn’t create many chances during the game. We were very lackadaisical and slow. It can’t continue this way.”

His personal feelings following the contest:

“We take every loss hard, especially now during these critical times when we move further away from the top of the table. So it’s hard on everyone and not just me.”

The Club’s poor play of late:

“I don’t have an answer. We come each and every week to give it our all and something just isn’t working in our game. When things aren’t going well, nothing is going well. The negative momentum continues to build when we have opportunities and we can’t score.”

The atmosphere in the dressing room:

“The atmosphere is not good right now and that’s understandable. This is perhaps the worst period of time we’ve had over the past four years. I don’t recall a situation like this or a month like this over the last four seasons. We have to find a way out of this together. We have to lift ourselves up because the season is still very young. We’ll have to collect ourselves and begin to play the football that we played two months ago.”

The midfielder added:

“We definitely believe in our coach and his ability to get us out of this funk. From the coaches to the players and everyone else here, we all believe in each other. We’ve already proved that we can play quality football which we did over the first few months with this squad and this coach. There is no reason to think that we can’t get back to how we played previously. In football there is momentum. Just as we had four wonderful seasons where everything went the right way, now we are in a down swing where nothing is going our way and it happens.”
