The 42-year-old Serbian, guided TSC to 3rd place in the Super League in 2023/24, was voted by his peers and club captains as Manager of the Season in his country.

Lazetic joined TSC in November 2021 from newly promoted side FC Metalac a club he guided to 8^th place. A year after his appointment at TSC, Lazetic, finished the 2022/23 season in 2nd place. He then guided TSC to the EUROPA LEAGUE group stages last season where his side faced West Ham, Freiburg and Olympiacos. 

Lazetic, spent most of his playing career in Serbia as a forward with FK Belgrade, Partizan where he won the League and Cup double (2007/08), Vojvodina and Bezanija with short spells in Greece and Indonesia. He retired in 2013 and began his coaching career climbing up the ranks at Partizan where he held various coaching positions including 1^st team Assistant Coach, U17’s, U18’s and U19’s Coach, 1^st team caretaker and Head Coach of Partizan’s reserve team Teleoptik.

He switched to Metalac Gornij Milanovac in 2020 before attracting the attention of TSC where he spent the past 2.5 years.

Melika’s signing at Maccabi makes him the third generation of goalkeepers to wear the Yellow and Blue strip. Ofek’s father, Yaron, featured between 1991-1994 while his grandfather, Shmuel, protected Maccabi’s goal between 1972-1974. The most famous Melika family member to play for Maccabi is Ofek’s uncle, Meir, who as a striker scored 63 goals in 256 appearances between 1987-1996.

Melika, represented Israel’s young national teams 28 times at U17, U19 and U20 levels, featuring in the side that finished third in the U20 World Cup in Argentina.
