Maccabi Tel Aviv agree to sign 28-year-old goalkeeper Tomer Chencinski from Swedish outfit OBRERO SK.

Sports Director Jordi Cruyff reported to the clubs' official website: "After two months of negotiations we are happy to announce the signing of  Tomer Chencinski at Maccabi Tel Aviv. We currently have two senior goalkeepers in Vincent Enyeama and Barak Levy but as everyone knows Vincent will be absent for about a month for the African Cup of Nations so we needed another senior goalkeeper at Maccabi. Tomer will compete with his colleagues for Vincent's place".

The tall goalkeeper (190cm), who made 15 starts for Orebro last season, was born in Tel Aviv before moving with his family to Canada. Chencinski turned professional in 2007 and spent the majority of his playing career in North America with Toronto FC, Detroit Ignition of the indoor league, Newark Ironbound Express, Harrisburg City Islanders, as well as spells with Moldovan side Nistru Otaci and Finish outfit Vassan Palloseura.
