Nikola Mitrovic is looking forward to tonight's derby but adds: "What happened at the last derby I think everybody should forget"

Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Nikola Mitrovic is preparing for yet another Tel Aviv derby, tonight at 8.55pm, his sixth since joing the club. He still gets excited ahead of the match, but he knows what must be done on the pitch: "The time is coming and the most important thing is to win and play good football and that's it". The 29 year-old Serb has a long history with derbies, but here, he says, it's something special: "I've already played a few derbies. I played in Serbia, in Hungary, in Russia, but here it's a good derby and the people live for this. Here it's more fanatic".

Despite the raised temperatures at the derbies, Mitrovic insists all supporters' eyes should be on the football: "What happened at the last derby I think everbody should forget. They should come to the stadium to support us, for us to show some good football. This is the main part of the sport. I think for us as players we must play good football for the supporters who are coming. They must enjoy it. This is the most important thing".
