Maccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv is switching into high gear with the new season approaching as they will take part in the Heemskerk competition in Holland. The Yellow & Blue will play two matches on the first day of the tournament, the first against Polish side Lech Poznan and just two hours later the second contest will pit them against Odense of Denmark.

Every match in the competition is 50-minutes long and each club may make up to five substitutions.

Yesterday, Ori Uzan and his team arrived in Holland on a direct flight from Israel and went straight to their hotel in order to begin preparations for the tournament. Just before Shabbat, the club had a light practice and then had kiddish and a festive meal. Following the tournament, the squad will continue on to their training camp that will also take place in Holland.
