Maccabi Tel Aviv is about to open up yet another year in Israel’s first league and we’ve got all kinds of great facts and figures about the Yellow & Blue that perhaps you didn’t know about their participation in the top division.

65 – The amount of years since the founding of the State that the Yellow & Blue have been a part of the country’s first league. In fact, Maccabi is the only club that has played every year in the league’s top division.

35 – Straight home matches without a loss which is not only Maccabi’s longest such streak but also the longest in the league taking place between September 2013 and May 2015. The Yellow & Blue have also gone six campaigns (most in Israeli football history) where they did not lose a home game.

9,300 – Average attendance per match. Stadiums around the league have hosted over 61 million spectators since the founding of the state for an average of 4,500 fans per contest. Maccabi has hosted over 9 million at home games for the 9,300 average attendance per match which is the most of any other team in the league.
