Eitan Tibi, the Yellow & Blue central defender talked about his side’s 2:1 first leg Europa League Playoff Round victory at the Netanya Stadium. Number 18 looked at the next contest, what lessons need to be learned and of course spoke about the game that was:

“It was a match we had to win and it’s too bad we gave up a goal which we really shouldn’t have but it’s part of the game. They only had two chances and they scored on one of them which we really didn’t want to happen. This was the first leg and we will now head to Croatia for the second match which will be a very important game with an electric atmosphere from what I understand”

Lessons to be learned:

“The first 15 minutes of the second half we were a bit out of focus and didn’t have enough concentration. We have to make a point to really prepare to play for the full 90 minutes plus extra time. We’ll have to learn from this.”

The next match:

“There’s no question that with the result we can’t go into the next match being complacent. We will come into the next game focussed and ready to go to make sure we get a good result and advance to the group stages. I really believe in my team and that we’ll do what we need to do.”
